Amiga

The Commodore Amiga, a 16-bit machine built around the OCS/ECS custom chipset: Agnus for the blitter and copper, Denise for the display and sprites, and Paula for sound and disk. Together they drive planar bitplane graphics, hardware sprites, four channels of sampled audio and blitter-driven animation. These pages describe how each kind of art and sound is stored and drawn on the machine.
