The BBC Micro, an 8-bit 6502 home computer built around the 6845 CRT controller and a Video ULA that together drive eight display MODEs, with an SN76489 for sound. It has no sprite hardware, so everything that moves is drawn into the bitmap in software. These pages describe how each kind of art and sound is stored and drawn on the machine.
