Teletext

Teletext, the SAA5050 character display: a 40×25 grid of 6×10 cells drawn from a ROM character generator, alphanumerics plus 2×3 mosaic block graphics, in eight colours, with control codes for colour, graphics and double height. It has no sprite or bitmap modes; it is a font platform, the character generator the BBC Micro drives in MODE 7. This page describes how its font is stored and drawn.
