VGA

VGA is the PC VGA standard, the graphics hardware IBM introduced in 1987 that became the baseline for PC display for years. It is a graphics standard rather than a whole computer: a display adapter with 256KB of video memory, a programmable 256-entry palette, and a family of screen modes from the chunky 256-colour mode 13h to planar high-resolution modes.
